Congratioation for  2011 Honda's Odyssey, it is become Car of the Year Contender motor trend version. is all new for 2011, and it's kind of a big deal. True, the fourth generation kiddie-hauler from Honda grew a little in length and girth, though it dropped about 75 pounds. But because the minivan segment is so ultra-competitive any time a new player arrives, it's a big deal in and of itself. Especially as there are only three volume players: Chrysler's vans, the Toyota Sienna, and the Honda Odyssey Contender

This Odyssey's pretty good. There's room for eight people (really, just six adults), the interior is the class of the class. Some COTY judges really liked the looks, others had a different take.

The big news is the "wide-mode" middle-row seating. Either of the two outboard seats can slide 1.6 inches out. This not only provides more hip and shoulder room for adults, but allows you to install three child seats. Alternatively, you can install two child seats yet still allow one of the outboard seats the ability to flip forward for access to the third row.
